Parobek Bio/Background
Parobek’s extensive experience encompasses various leadership roles across the country, most recently serving as Interim CEO of White Rock Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he spearheaded operational improvements and strategic planning for growth.
Prior to that, Parobek served as president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the largest facility within the Texas Health Resources network. Under his leadership, the hospital achieved Level 1 trauma center status and implemented numerous initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and community engagement, including establishing a respite unit at a local homeless shelter.
Parobek’s career also includes leadership positions at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital and the Jewish Hospital Physician Group in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as president of Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital in the same city.
“My wife and I are thrilled to have the chance to return to north central Ohio,” Parobek said. “This is such a special role in the community, and I am both honored and humbled to be chosen as [Marion General Hospital’s] next president. As one of the city’s largest employers and only hospital, we have a responsibility to truly take care of our neighbors.
